Besson Chablis 1er Cru ‘Vaillons’
Apleasure to Taste, A Pleasure to Review
Besson’s Chablis 1er Cru Vaillons is a standout example of what makes Chablis so special. It’s 100% Chardonnay, but the expression here is all about purity, tension, and that unmistakable mineral character the region is known for. From the first sip, you can clearly taste the terroir—clean, precise, and beautifully layered.
The aroma is fresh and inviting, with notes of lime, lemon, honeysuckle, and a very light touch of peach. All wrapped; subtle herbal and mineral tones round it out. On the palate, the wine is crisp and focused, showing bright citrus and chalky minerality #veryChablis. Its refined acidity gives it both structure and elegance without feeling heavy. I had a great experience tasting this. It’s genuinely a pleasure to review a wine that delivers this much character and clarity.
