Stella Rosa Moscato d’Asti and Peach
Refreshing, Easy-Drinking Moscatos with a Playful Twist
I’m reviewing these two wines together because, for me, the differences are very subtle—the main distinction being that one tastes like peach, and the other doesn’t. Both are refreshing, light, and extremely easy to drink, making them great options not just for summer and spring, but honestly for fall and winter too (because why not). They’re the kind of wines you open when you want something relaxed, enjoyable, and low-effort.
The peach version delivers a pleasant, peachy flavor without feeling artificial, while the Moscato d’Asti stays true to a classic, clean style. The only other peach Moscato I’ve tried is from Villa Jolanda, which I consider a step up in quality; however, Stella Rosa is easier to drink if you’re just getting into Moscatos. It’s also forgiving if you’re only pouring a glass or two—less worry about the effervescence fading too quickly in the bottle. I also find these slightly less sweet than Villa Jolanda. Overall, Stella Rosa is a solid starting point for anyone exploring Moscatos and a safe choice if you want a bottle that encourages a second glass. Villa Jolanda may still be my favorite, but this is a great option for beginners or as a gift for someone who enjoys sweeter drinks.

Verdict (Value Wine) Both wines show a pale, delicate color, with the peach version appearing just a shade darker. Aromas are pleasant and soft—neither too strong nor too faint. Lightly sweet and refreshing on the palate, with gentle fruit character and low alcohol at just 5.5%, making them very easy to enjoy.
